Recording and transcription happen on your Mac. When you choose to create a written recap, Tapquence sends transcript text and recap instructions to Apple Cloud Pro through the supplied Shortcut. This happens only after the Shortcut is imported once and you explicitly allow transcript text to be sent to Apple. Recaps require internet access and a compatible Apple Intelligence Mac running macOS 27 or later. Apple Intelligence availability and daily usage limits apply, including on Unlimited.
Tapquence works alongside supported Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Google Meet calls. Keep using your usual meeting app; detection depends on your app, browser and permissions.
No bot invitation is needed. Tapquence records on your Mac only when you choose to take notes and confirm the session, with the required permissions and participant consent.
Yes. Open Tapquence in the macOS menu bar and choose Take notes to record an in-person conversation. Return to the saved audio, transcript and available recap afterward.
Open the recap’s email draft in your usual mail app. Review the recipients, edit the text and send it when you’re ready.
Free includes 5 written recaps in your first full account month, then 2 per month on each Mac. Recording and transcription happen locally on your Mac. Written recaps use Apple Cloud Pro through the supplied Shortcut, after you allow transcript text to be sent to Apple. Yes. Add a presentation file to your saved recap to keep it alongside the conversation. Attaching slides does not automatically create a separate meeting summary for each slide.
